Experience
University of St Andrews Environment Officer (2017-Present):
Student-body elected position to communicate about being more sustainable within St Andrews. In charge of a committee of students who work alongside staff and locals to reduce the town’s carbon footprint to meet Scotland’s carbon reduction targets as well as encouraging students to live more sustainably and increase involvement with environmental initiatives around campus. Initiatives include changing the Student Unions’ Sustainability Policy, planning of Green Week and placing the Environment as a core pillar of the University’s 5 year plan.

Ambassador – University of St Andrews

Contracted to lead tours and assist prospective students on open/visiting days; giving academic department talks for the Department of Geography and Sustainable Development.

CBL International Delegate Advisor
(July-September 2018)
Recruited to help run the University summer program at Oriel College at Oxford University. Skills required were great time management abilities, thinking on my feet and being quick to problem-solve. Working with hundreds of people to run an international program highlights the team aspects of working in a major company to satisfy all stakeholders.

A member of the Students’ Union Council to represent all student views. Weekly meetings to debate current events, pass motions and amend policies. Use of many media platforms to promote the council activities and University events.

Leadership
Three-year Geography and Sustainable Development Class Representative: An elected voice for third year students at the University, appointed to collaborate with staff to enhance student experience by organizing events and acting as a public face and school liaison.

UNFCCC Observer Organization: One of a handful of students within the university chosen to help St Andrews apply to become a UNFCC Observer Organisation in time for COP24 and COP25 in 2018/2019.

Student Volunteer Services (charity): Volunteering to keep St Andrews and local communities clean with organized beach cleans and various conservation projects. Other projects include raising money for the UK Mental Health Foundation.

Extracurriculars
• University of St Andrews Women’s Football team: active player on team travelling around Scotland, playing other Scottish universities.
• CrossFit: Avid CrossFit participant at the local gym – occasionally taking part in competitions and UK-wide events.
