EXPERIENCE

Hoffman Astranotic - Video Editor
OCTOBER 2018 - CURRENT
Hoffman Astranotic is a start up music video and short film company. We usually have full creative directive over our videos, allowing us to compose them from start to finish. We have created many videos for up and coming artists across Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. This position allowed me to expand my editing skills in a more creative and nonprofessional setting.

Sherman Independent School District - Video Editor
AUGUST 2017 - MAY 2018
As a film editor for the Sherman Independent School District, I was in charge of creating a series of video highlights about our school district which were then shown at monthly District Board meetings. While I sometimes independently completed these videos, I would more regularly work with a team. As leader of the team, I was in charge of overseeing the production, whether its the actual filming itself or the final edit.

Sherman High School - Lights and Audio Coordinator
AUGUST 2016 - MAY 2017
As the lights and audio coordinator for the theatre at my high school, I was in charge of setting up any microphones, lights, speakers, etc. for the production that would be shown that night. In our theatre, we put on band concerts, musicals, and choir performances meaning that I had to communicate with a variety of teachers and principals. I usually worked with one or two other people to ensure that the production would run as smoothly as possible.

EDUCATION
Sherman High School
AUGUST 2014 - MAY 2018

During my time at Sherman High School, I was in the top 10 percentile of my class for 4 consecutive years. While core classes such as English/Writing and Algebra were very important to me, a lot of my time was focused on Audio/Visual production. Audio/Visual has always been my passion; during my time at Sherman High School I created everything from content for our morning news program, CATS News, to a documentary for the UIL Film Festival. However, I did not allow my passion for all things video to affect my grades in any of my core classes. I have always been a hard worker and plan to continue my passion in the film industry.
