- Implementing best SEO practices across thousands of pages on site.
- Establishing internal linking structure, which improved visibility for both users and search engines.
- Conducting keyword research through tools Keywords Everywhere and BrightEdge in order to identify ranking opportunities.
- Breaking opportunities down into short, mid and long-term strategies:?
1. Optimizing meta descriptions, alternative text, and SEO titles to further improve existing performance.? 2. Identifying content that could better serve user intent through updated information or a full gutting.? 3. Performing keyword gap analysis - we found ranking opportunity through keyword research and developed a new vertical of content which immediately began ranking.
- Conducting competitor analysis in our media space through BrightEdge to find well-performing content on their site.
- Participating in a team effort to identify content that would bring fast results and be cheap to produce. Within a span of 3 months, we were able to drive 250,000 organic sessions, accounting for 11% of total organic traffic to the site.
- Partaking in a growth-hack project that generated roughly 15,000 evergreen pages, mainly by developing Excel formulas and manually editing data provided by a team of outsourced researchers.
