Assisted in dissecting human cadavers, locating research articles, and editing case reports. As first author of my anatomy group’s research project, I coordinated the drafting of two case reports based on the anatomical variations located in the cadaver. My work as a research assistant for Dr. Sakthi Velavan resulted in two first author publications, a poster presentation and oral presentation.

SKILLS & INTERESTS
• Professional interests include increasing the presence of underrepresented minorities in medicine, and working in medically underserved communities.
• Hobbies include singing and drawing. Fun fact: I submitted a 2D color pencil portrait drawing in the 2009 VASE Art Competition and was awarded a regional medal.
• Future plans involve taking mission trips to aid underserved communities throughout the world. My first trip will be to my birthplace of Owerri, Nigeria.
