Throughout my professional and educational endeavors I have been dedicated to who and what I want to be. Whether it was as a contributor to the school paper, as a Peace Corps Volunteer or a Political Canvasser, I was diligent, determined, and excited to complete the work required of me.
I have gathered experience, education and skills through it all that will always help me in my future. It is my current goal to find a job within the government to continue accruing knowledge and experience for a life in public service.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer I was expected to be a 24/7 employee with various duties and responsibilities. Service in Peace Corps began with three months of training that included cross cultural training, TEFL courses, model school teaching, cultural sensitivity and language training. After being sworn-in, service within my

community began and it was time to use what our training had taught us. Every day life required me to use the language we had been taught, whether it was to buy groceries or have discussions with the school principal. Adapting to the local culture was also crucial to being a successful PCV. Not only was I there to become a respectful community member, but also act as a representative of the United States and share our different cultures.

Acting as a liaison between offices across campus of Slippery Rock University Building upon public relations and interpersonal skills

PennEnvironment provided me with my first opportunity to work in grassroots politics. As a political science student it was important to me to gain this experience to continue working in the field of politics. The preservation of the environment is also an issue that I am very passionate about and was very excited to partake in this position. Some daily duties and responsibilities included:
