This is a family owned business, my parents opened it last July and i worked there and at the Vet Clinic at the same time while still in high school. We have really built a good name as a family but I’m more happy working with animals rather than ice cream, so i have stopped working with them now that they have enough employees to cover all shifts.

Summit Animal Hospital - Eldersburg, MD August 2019 to July 2020
In this position, i was first an Intern with them through my Agriscience Capstone studies in high school, but they hired me afterwards and I’ve worked the back of house, attended for in house patients, oversaw surgeries, gave vaccines and also did appointment scheduling, Billing, and discharge from in house treatment. It was a real privilege to be hired by them but i was let go due to them not having enough hours to give me in light of 2020 COVID frenzy.

I had spent the summer working for them training the younger ones how to properly be safe and comfortable around horses and teaching them how to feed, turn out, muck, and (the most fun) ride! I did this every summer from 2017-2019
