I will write about myself, as I believe this is far more expressive than bullet points.

To start, I am very philosophically and ethically minded person, and I hold myself to very high standards of personal development and achievement. Through my standards, I have cut out unnecessary entertainment and time-wasters from my life, such as television. I have put much time and effort into creating a dynamic blend of analytical, creative, and emotional/empathetic intelligence in myself, as I believe the balance of these traits is what constitutes a well-rounded individual. This mindset has manifested in many different ways. I have a deeply rooted love and appreciation for nature, playing piano and singing. However, most of my time is spent learning about existential and psychological topics, and I love engaging in discourse about these matters.

Although, I take my personal growth and development seriously, I can easily leave this mindset by laughing at myself and being goofy as I please, while showing my colorful, expressive, and theatrical aspects. Furthermore, I am very extroverted and my inner fire will not dampen throughout the day, as I believe energetic and lively people are necessary to brighten up this world. Additionally, I pay great attention to the way I interact with others, as I really seek to uplift those around me. I put great effort into always exuding very positive and loving energy, especially when I am tired or unmotivated. My interpersonal skills are flexible and adaptive to the individual, and I am very conscious of approaching every person with as much respect, empathy, and love as can be.

I have decided that my purpose in this life is to make the greatest positive change I can in others around me, through the medium of face-to-face interaction and education. This drive motivates everything I do in life, and it is truly the reason I am applying for this job. For the past year of my time in college, Ive been leading and coordinating a tutoring/social development program for children for the past year, and spend many hours every week in the company of children. A very large component of my program takes place in the playground, in which I oversee and partake in the play of the elementary students. The activities of the children greatly depend on their age, yet I have experiences of a wide range of scenarios, such as intimate play with a single child, to a chaotic twenty-person soccer match. During this time, I have learned bullying cues, and how to best navigate around the dynamics of child dominance-hierarchies. On this topic, I have learned how to read many situations to assess when I should step in and intervene during play, or when I should let the natural play of children run its course. Ive also developed personal techniques on how to best deal with stubborn children, and children having a fit or a really bad time. Through my experience I have developed a deep passion for socially, intellectually, and emotionally empowering children, and for fostering every childs idiosyncratic pathway of personal growth.
