Crane Robot, Junior Design, UNC Charlotte January 2018 – May 2018 Project Lead ? Created schematics for the controls system of a crane robot to navigate an obstacle course and transport blocks ? Coded an Arduino to accept controller input and control drivetrain and crane servos ? Performed load distribution and incline stability calculations in Mathcad to aid design ? Designed and 3D modelled the crane subsystem in Creo and fabricated crane assembly using a Mill and a 3D printer ? Unique dual motor crane setup resulted in shorter block loading times and a smaller frame to navigate course faster ? Robot had fastest time out of 12 teams


UNCC Motorsports Research, UNC Charlotte Research Intern June 2018 – July 2018 ? Conducted study on driving point impedance of a human hand controlling a steering wheel ? Designed with Solidworks and fabricated a test bed comprising of a motor, steering wheel and a load cell ? Assembled circuitry to control the motor and log experimental data such as encoder position and grip force ? Ran tests using Simulink which sent torque pulses to motor and recorded sensor data ? Wrote MATLAB code to analyze sensor data using linear regression to get impedance of a human hand w.r.t grip force
