Accomplishments
• In May 2019 I will complete my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing and a minor in Ceramics from Indiana University Southeast.
• I’ve exhibited my artwork both on and off campus in collaborative shows and Juried and solo exhibitions. Planning and participating in these shows has taught me the technical side of install and takedown of fine art exhibitions and displays, and how to collaborate with fellow artists to prepare and repair walls, hang and display both 2D and 3D works and promote and publicize exhibitions.
• I have received recognition and awards from juried art shows held at IUS and Studio Awards for my work.
• My academic successes have been recognized in the Indiana University Southeast Dean’s List since 2015 and the Indiana University Southeast Chancellor’s List in 2018. These awards have helped to me to strive for academic excellence throughout my college career.
• I have 2.5 years of retail experience which has included: collaboration with fellow employees on daily store tasks to ensure a positive shopping experience, customer service on the sales floor, running registers, special ordering items to meet specific customer needs, and opening and closing the store. I also established lasting relationships with the customers to make them feel comfortable with their shopping and ensure they had a personalized and meaningful experience every time they came to shop or needed help with something specific.
• I am a member in the National Society of Leadership and Success since 2016 and will be inducted into the Society Chapter on May 2nd of this year. Being included in this program has equipped me with a professional state of mind in pursuing my goals and taking the necessary steps to make them happen.
• Volunteering/Coaching with Greater Clark County Special Olympics Volleyball and Basketball since 2012. Working with this program has helped me develop exceptional communication and mentorship skills. Working with the Special Olympics has provided me with ample opportunities to help the athletes and staff members to work together during games and practices, build confidence, and create personal friendships on and off the court.
