James Burnett Professional Resume

To Whom It May Concern,
Over the past five months, I have been volunteering my time as a recruiting and player
personnel analyst for Rice University Football. I have been going above and beyond to help the program without seeing a pay check. Previous to my time in Houston, I spent two amazing months with the Miami Dolphins. I served as an operations training camp and preseason intern. During my time with the University of Mississippi, I was promoted to work directly for John Miller, Director of Football Operations, and Tom Luke, Director of Player Development. I helped with daily logistical and operational needs for the whole program. Also, I assisted in the planning and scheduling of team activities. Prior to working in operations, I was a student assistant recruiting coordinator for two seasons. The recruiting coordinators, also, frequently put me in charge of the highest rated recruit that was on campus. It was up to me to help him feel welcome to Ole Miss and represent the team and university in an honorable manner. During my time with Ole Miss, I have fostered strong connections with the staff and players. I have gained the trust of the whole coaching staff at Ole Miss, in Miami, and Rice by showing that no task is too big or small for me, and I also pride myself on doing things right the first time. I was added to the travel squad two seasons ago due to my dedication and willingness to help out in any way possible. My passion is the world of sports, and I am very interested in pursuing operations and player analysis at the professional sports level. I feel truly honored to even be considered for this opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to speaking with you further.
