Personal Summary
I am currently a graduate of University of Houston main campus. I majored in biochemistry and minored in Chemistry and I graduated in the spring of 2019. I have obtained the skills needed for a laboratory setting through the many classes, labs, and research programs at the University of Houston. Some of the main skills that I have acquired include leadership and teamwork in a lab setting and data analysis. I am hoping to continue using these skills in graduate school and in future laboratories.

• Currently work in a microbiology / biochemistry research lab where basic and advanced laboratory skills are practiced daily.

• Worked as sales specialist at Fleet Feet Sports where skills such as , cooperative teamwork, public relations, and technical expertise were required in order provide premium customer service.
COMMUNICATION
• Continually assumes a leadership role in presentations and group projects where one must present or speak to a crowd or small group.
LEADERSHIP THROUGH TEACHING
• Gained leadership skills while working as a Teaching assistant for the Biochemistry 1 and 2 labs during the spring of 2019.

• Worked in a research lab at the university of Houston where I attained skills including:
o Plasmid isolation / purification using both gel and column purification techniques.
o Plasmid cloning through polymerization chain reaction (PCR).
o Colorimetric assays.
o Gel electrophoresis.
o pH titration experiments using a microplate reader.
o Solutions and media prep.
o Data analysis.
LABORATORY PREP TEACHING ASSISTANT | UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON | SPRING OF 2019
• Worked as a Laboratory prep TA for the Biochemistry 1 and 2 Labs during the spring semester of 2019. I was the first and only undergraduate to hold this job and was recommended by two PhD graduate students who I worked with during my time as an undergraduate researcher. My primary role as a prep TA included:
o Overseeing the Biochemistry 2 students during their final semester project.
o Solutions and media preparation
o Plasmid cloning through polymerization chain reaction (PCR).
o Clean, organize, and prepare the labs for the upcoming weeks.
o Test out protocols for new labs that have not been done in previous semesters which included the CRISPR-Cas9 lab.
o Data analysis.
