As a Contract Specialist with Symetra Financial, I work within the Policy Administration Department more specifically working on New Business and Life & Disability Insurance. I have learned to challenge myself in learning new material quickly, while working under pressure in order to produce contracts and bills within a timely fashion to meet deadlines while striving to remain organized for efficiency. Being a Contract Specialist requires attention to detail and clear communication skills across different departments in order to stay up-to-date with priority work objects and projects. Symetra has given me plenty of opportunities to explore my growth and work with others in order to meet specific goals for the team while creating the best products and deliverables for our customers needs. I have developed personal gains through implementing Symetra’s values in Transparency, Diversity, and Innovation through my work and mindset.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
HopePlace Seattle Union Gospel Mission Seattle, WA
HopePlace is a shelter providing homeless women and children with housing and recovery programs. I’ve volunteered for the dinner service serving meals to the women and children. The job tasks also included preparing the food, setting up food stations, and assist in the after dinner kitchen clean-up duties. During dinner service I was able to interact with the residents and hear about their journeys. This experience was transformative and showed me the value and joy there is in helping others. I realized that I am able to make a difference and look forward to more opportunities to give back to our community.
