• Taught student reading comprehension and pre-writing, writing, and editing/revising strategies, benefitting student in her work across subjects and increasing her academic confidence

• Created personalized, focused plan for approaching the writing portion of the boarding high school application for eight grader at Indian Mountain School in Lakeville, CT; assisted her in producing a creative, well-written personal statement for her application, helping her achieve her goal of gaining admittance to boarding high schools of her choice
• Worked with her to improve command of English language, including providing constructive feedback on her grammar, spelling and punctuation, as well as her literary interpretation skills, resulting in her improving her literacy skills so much as to be selected to write and read personal essay at her eighth grade graduation
