EXPERIENCE:

SJSU Spartan Racing club: 2015-2017
Member and Project Management.

Spartan racing club competes in SAE (Society of Automotive Engineer) league where other racing clubs of schools/universities around the globe participate with their engineered vehicles every year in various competitions.

Project Management responsibilities:
• Recognized the minimum essential elements of robust design of various components needed for the development of competition vehicle.
• Managed the projects related to fundraising, promotions and marketing.
• Evaluated the essential requirements to align with competition rules.
• Utilized the different types of meeting and conflict resolution strategies, formulate an effective meeting summary and action list, and simulate an actual design review.

Engineer responsibilities:
• Designed and tested various components of the competition vehicle in CAD for performance, feasibility and competition’s specifications.
• Completed project mechanical design while providing technical solution feedback.
• Supported engineer design through analysis and simulation.
• Provided technical direction to other engineers, designers and technicians.
• Performed thermal, electromagnetic, dynamic and structural engineering analysis.
• Project:
o Used SolidWorks to redesign the oil pan of competition vehicle’s engine, a major engine cooling system part mounted on the bottom of an engine serves as an engine oil reservoir, and simulated tests in STAR CCM to reduce sloshing and prevent oil starvation and low oil-pressure.
o Resulting in new design of 0.5-quart capacity oil pan from 0.9-quart and flange thickness of 0.125 in from 0.1 in. Analyzed data showed 11 % efficiency achieved in preventing sloshing and low oil-pressure. Overall, results showed 7.5% increase in engine’s efficiency of cooling system
