We do private chef service and catering for some of the most affluent people and in Los Angeles as well as celebs , pro athletes, and politicians. Creating food that represents my clients personality and style. Special dietary meals such as high protein/lo carb meals, no carb meals, vegetarian/vegan meals, and raw food are available per the clients request. Responsible for menu preparation, ordering of food, billing and employee payroll In the past we’ve received community awards from the LAPD chief of police, Mayor of Los Angeles, and The Federal office of Naturalization and Immigration.

Private Chef/Kitchen Mgr Abel Tesfaye p.k.a. The Weeknd
Hidden Hills, CA 06/2017 - 06/2018 (Presently On-Call) salary: $2500/wk + expenses
Started cooking for Mr. Tesfaye in the middle of his Legends of The Fall/European World Tour in Frankfurt, Germany then proceeded to cook for him and his entourage while touring Europe through 12 countries by occupying hotel kitchens all over the world and sometimes creating temporary kitchens in some of the hotel rooms. Also tasked with shopping for food in various countries even though the language barrier hindered me from making quick purchases.
Returning back to California, USA I was asked to continue my duties as his chef in his new Hidden Hills home making breakfast, lunch and dinner for the staff of 3 and also him and his girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Also my duties included stocking the new kitchen with kitchen items and keeping refrigerator stocked with water, soft drinks, and various milks. When the client moved back to Toronto I was released from my contract with generous severance. Occasionally I’m still contracted to do small parties when in Los Angeles.

Private Chef/Kitchen Mgr Mrs. Katherine Jackson/Jackson Family Estate
Calabasas, CA 4/2015 - Presently On-Call salary: $2000/wk + expenses
Daily duties required preparing Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for Mrs. Jackson and several family members, guest and security detail in the household. Also keeping an orderly inventory of kitchen supplies and utensils. Responsible for all of the food and pantry shopping for the household. Planning weekly menus to cover at least 10 different eating habits also catering various events at the house including Super Bowl Parties, Thanksgiving, Christmas Parties and occasional reality show watch parties as well.
Reason for leaving: Family went on extended vacation, no chef was needed.

Private Chef /Kitchen Mgr Dwayne Wade & Gabriel Union
Malibu, CA 06/2014 – 09/2014 salary: $1500/wk + expenses
Hired as Mr. Wade’s and Ms. Union’s Chef for the summer at their Malibu Beach house for the summer tasked with serving breakfast, lunch, dinner to the couple and assortment of friends and guest that occasionally resided at the house for short terms. Required to follow Mr. Wades nutritional needs for off season health accordance with the NBA and also making healthy food as well for Ms. Union in preparation for her New TV role coming up.
Daily shopping was required as well keeping kitchen and dining areas neat and tidy and performing minor maintenance fixes in the kitchen and around the house as well.

Private Chef /Kitchen Mgr Selena Gomez
Calabasas, CA 05/2014 – Presently On-Call salary: $1000/wk + expenses
My job description for cooking for Ms. Gomez It was basically creating healthy prepared meals and snacks for daily nutrition and also occasional party catering for friends and family as well as keeping refrigerator full of inventory and maintaining the kitchen cleanliness. Bi-weekly grocery shopping was also required when needed. Creating exciting menus for family and friends and also food for random studio sessions when Ms. Gomez needed to record. Holiday parties and Birthday party catering was always top priority.
Reason for leaving: Client went to go live back home with her parents for personal reasons.

Private Chef /Kitchen Mgr Ziggy Marley/Rita Marley/ Marley Family Beverly Hills, CA 11/2013 – Presently On-Call salary: $1300/wk +expenses
As the Marley family chef my duties were to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner for Mrs. Rita Marley and family which ranged between 2 to 15 people at any given time. All food prepared was organic and healthy while using little to no salt in the food preparations to aid in Mrs. Marley special dietary requirements. Daily shopping and inventory for the kitchen was a must and making occasional green smoothies and healthy snacks.
Knowledge of authentic Jamaican cuisine also was a must for this client.

As Ms. Lopez’s chef I was required to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for her, Beau Smart her then boyfriend and her two adorable kids Emme and Max. as well as various house guest and business associates that came over for visits or meetings. Daily shopping and organizing of the refrigerator and pantry was also my responsibility.

The business venture of mine and some partners in Manhattan Beach providing an upscale dining/nightlife experience with the mellow attitude of beach life. By serving simple tasteful, healthy meals and appetizers combined with clever cocktails not to mention some wonderful desserts.
I was responsible for coming up with nutritious, healthy menus as well as ordering and shopping for all food items needed for the restaurant and bar. Collaborated with Bar Manager on pairing food items with drink specials.  Trained kitchen staff and dishwashers to be proficient in the kitchen, also responsible for pricing food on the menus and conducting inventory of unused food product.  Managed to keep kitchen in pristine shape in accordance with state health codes. Restaurant closed after 2 years of service.

Responsible for opening Restaurant and cooking on the line for lunch rush, prepping mise en place for daily specials, cutting fish and poultry to precison rates.
As a participant in the opening of this restaurant and aiding to it’s addition to the Los Angeles Magazines Top 25 and promoted to Sous Chef which duties included ordering/receiving food for the establishment’s menus and specialty menu items.  Prepping vinaigrettes, various condiments and certain items for the salad station as well as the grill station. Worked the grill station and pantry station for about 75 covers per day also responsible for all training of new employees.
