Employment History

Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital
Bozeman, Montana
September 2017 – August 2018
I worked primarily in the Emergency Room as a registrar. I would register the patients that came in on ambulances, sometimes very urgently. I also checked people in at the front desk and communicated with the medical personnel about the patient's condition and any high priority information. Some of my shifts would be on the hospital's main switchboard, answering general phone lines for the whole complex. There would be as many as 500 calls in a single 8 hour shift. My other job duties included floating to the clinic registration to aid in checking patients in during high traffic times and floating to the hospital floors to obtain additional registration information from admitted patients. I left that job when I moved to Helena for college.

Lone Mountain Gymnastics
Swimming Instructor/Deck Manager
Bozeman, Montana
September 2011 – September 2017
I began working as a swimming instructor for group lessons for children aged 3-12 years old. I took on more responsibility as I continued my employment and began teaching lessons for parents and children under the age of 3 and occasional private lessons for all ages. I became lifeguard certified and was given deck managing shifts, where I would oversee the pool as lessons went on. I would organized the kids into classes, talk with parents about their kids, the lessons and the program in general, lifeguard, instruct and correct the staff when needed and solve any problems that would arise. I was also the one to unlock the pool at the beginning of those shifts and close/lock up after the shift at night. My last roles to be added were to organize and coordinate the advanced swimming program and the summer day camp swimming program. I wrote lesson plans and evaluated children for the advanced program, as well as teaching for it, and organized specialized swimming information for the students and parents. For the camp, I lifeguarded and was in charge of the kids while they were in the pool. We went over rules every day and had a learning activity related to swimming. I left that job when I graduated college and was needing to find a full time job.
