graphic design internship

To whom it may concerns,
I would like to introduce myself as a candidate for the graphic design intern. As a graphic designer with a background in branding and public relationship, I understand the important that creating a successful narrative for a brand can affect the overall performance of a company . My recent internship experiences and education makes me think I am qualified in applying for this position.

I always have strong interest in visual storytelling. Being creative is key to a successful visual narrative. During my previous role as an intern at Presidium, I used a variety of typography, illustration and motion graphics and to create cohesive and interesting brand for an apartment complex in Austin, Texas. My skills in Adobe Illustrator photoshop and after effect also make this project comes to life.

Communication is also a key factor when working within a team. When I was interning at Goodwork, a local PR agency. I have to work with the design team to create visuals for their clients’ social media marketing campaigns. Due to my excellent communication skills, I was able to work with other designers and deliver feedback to each other in a positive light that didn’t demean the design or the designer in any way. The kindness and honesty during the critiques not only provided us a friendly working environment but also pushed our limits as designers.

My degree at University of Texas gives me the design and branding knowledge that furthered my career as a designer. I obtained a degree in graphic design. I learned about the elements of design, color theory, marketing, copy-writing, branding, and business administration. I created original works and through design software during my academic career.

Thank you for your consideration of me as a candidate for the design intern position. I look forward to hearing more about the position and the company.
