Political Action Committee formed after the Pulse Nightclub Shooting in Orlando, Florida; mission is to endorse candidates and support legislation focused on LGBTQ safety and inclusion, and sensible gun reform policies.
Internal Communications Intern: Responsible for maintaining communication with donors, email subscribers, Pride Fund staff, and journalists. Duties also included event planning, volunteer and set-up placement for events, vigils, and DC Pride, and writing press releases, donation and action emails, and opinion editorials.
? Achieved advanced proficiency in NGP and ActBlue systems to create donation and petition pages, add or remove journalists and subscribers from contact list, and format and send emails to relevant parties.
? Published an opinion editorial to the Orlando Weekly under the pen-name Chris Hansen, a Pulse survivor on the Pride Fund Board of Advisors. The opinion editorial was read by Florida Representative Darren Soto on the floor of the Florida House of Representatives on the anniversary of the shooting.
