Marine and Turtle Conservation. Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Juno Beach, FL
Conservation Crew Intern: January-February 2019.

• Attended public events to provide information about ecological restoration practices, sea turtle conservation strategies, and sustainability. Helped organize LMC events (Turtlefest and patient releases).
• Supervised conservation volunteers and cooperated with members of the public.
• Collected and sorted marine debris (plastics, monofilament, etc.).
• Prepared various of different electronic communications, reports, and documents to ensure smooth operations. These include LMC's conservation blog and multiple marine debris report forms for NOAA.
• Monitored ecological stressors: red tide and onshore developments. Also monitored the well-being of the Juno Beach Pier.
• Cleaned the office and performed gear maintenance.

Sea Turtle Nesting/Research. Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Juno Beach, FL
Nesting and Research Branch Intern: March-April 2019.

• Researched and documented the locations of turtle nests and eggs alongside coastal areas during daily beach surveys.
• Assisted staff in recording nesting data on physical datasheets and electronic databases.
• Used Word and PowerPoint to create conservation projects.
• Presented talks to public to encourage interest in conservation and research topics. Assisted in aiding the public in understanding sea turtle biology and livelihoods.
• Cooperated with volunteers and public who visit the management locations.
• Preformed daily ATV care (washing, fueling) and maintenance of research supplies.
