PERSONAL INTERESTS
Wildlife Management and Habitat Conservation History
As a student at SUNY Plattsburgh, my combined studies have created a unique curriculum that maintains
a common theme throughout my dual major. By utilizing the skills of research and analysis from History, my
studies of Political Science and Law focus on their application to Wildlife Management and Habitat Conservation
policies. These topics have a long and convoluted history that is inherently intertwined within the United State’s
legal system. By analyzing these topics through both a historical lens, as well as through the scope of political
action and policy implementation I plan to structure my future career in these subjects around innovative and
ecologically sound policy implementations. I particularly have focused my research on the extirpation of predator
species such as the Eastern Mountain Lion in New York State, as well as the initiatives to repopulate these areas
with closely related species.
Freelance Art
While exploring these rigid curriculums I have indulged my creative impulses simultaneously through
freelance art based on commission. Varying from digital art to traditional canvas and paint, I have gradually built
one of my many passions into a business while working two other jobs and attending college.
Volunteer Activities
? Volunteered at the New York State History Museum, actively participated in student research showcases
on National History Day
? Volunteered with SUNY Plattsburgh’s Wildlife Club to do invasive species removal along the shore of
Lake Champlain
? Volunteered on National Love Your Park Day at Ausable Marsh Wildlife Management Area in 2018
with plans to do so again in 2019
Club Activity and Membership
? Active member of SUNY Plattsburgh’s Wildlife Club
? Active member of SUNY Plattsburgh’s Fishing Club
? Active member of SUNY Plattsburgh’s Outing Club
