SUMMARY
Candidate for the Bachelor of Science Honours degree as a Forensic Psychology Specialist from the University of Toronto; this degree will be complete by April of 2019, with convocation taking place in June of 2019. I have had experience working alongside researchers and clinicians in the field of forensic psychology at the Ontario Correctional Institute, gaining insight into the inner workings of offenders and conducting valuable research.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Ontario Correctional Institute
Internship and Independent Research Project – September 2018-current
o Conducted independent research under the supervision of Dr. Christopher Koegl concerning mentally ill and sexual offenders
Project Title: The Influence of Adverse Childhood Experiences on a population of Incarcerated Child-Targeting Sex Offenders
o Managed time appropriately, meeting deadlines for: proposals, ethics, report. Ensured that everything was moving in the right direction
o Helped out with other tasks including but not limited to: coding data for other ongoing projects, interacting with offenders, examining case files
o Gained deep understanding of mental illness and offender populations
o Much use of: SPSS, Word, Excel

Sick Kids
Adolescent Type 1 Diabetes Cardio-Renal Intervention (AdDIT) Study Volunteer (May/2011-present)
o Experience in the realm of clinical research
o Studies are a joint effort of researchers in the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada; so, have been fortunate to experience clinical and research-based practices on a large scale


UofT Outreach Volunteer – Forensics
Forensic Science Outreach Volunteer (Sept/2017-present)
o Working at Crime Scene House, teaching high school students basics of various forensic science techniques (i.e. fingerprinting, location of blood spatter, footwear impressions)
o Facilitated forensic psychology presentations for high school students who visited University of Toronto, emphasizing psychological aspects of crime (i.e., mental illness, bias in the courtroom, etc.)

Volunteer for UTM open house at Forensic Science booth (March/2017, March/2018)
o Gave tours of crime scene house to prospective students and parents
o At booth, answered questions about program for prospective students and parents
o Emphasis on forensic psychology stream throughout discussions
