A fourth-year medical student with previous experience in molecular research. I am currently looking to expand my knowledge in the medical field.

Puerto Rico Health and Justice Center - Research Student
August 2018 -Present; Caguas, Puerto Rico
Currently conducting research on non-disclosure in sexual abuse victims in Puerto Rico.

Medical School Tutor
August 2017 - May 2019; Caguas, Puerto Rico
Immunology (aug 2017-march 2018) Pathophysiology (aug 2018 - may 2019)

Memorial Sloan Kettering / Medical Summer Fellowship Program
June 2017 - August 2017; New York City, New York
Employed the following skills, basic tissue culture/ sterile procedures, tumor cell identification, design of double-blinded experimental set-up, time-lapse microscopy, imaging software, task automatization/statistical analysis and data interpretation, generation of stably transfected human tumor cell lines, bioluminescence assay, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.

University of Puerto Rico / Lab Assistant
January 2016 - June 2016; Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
Evaluated a novel in vitro model and its ability to emulate in vivo conditions, by verifying the production of key bio signaling proteins in the SHH pathway. Employed bioluminescent, Western Blot and qRT-PCR techniques to verify the emulation of in vivo conditions within the in vitro model.

University of Puerto Rico / Undergraduate Research Assistant
January 2015 - December 2015; Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
Evaluated the effects of Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) bio signaling with mesenchymal-like cells in an in vitro model with triple-negative breast cancer cell lines. An alternative to the in vivo model was also created and modified using the microfluidic in-vitro model. Microscopic proliferation experiments utilizing bioluminescent imaging and qRT-PCR in a live model were conducted.

Education
San Juan Bautista School of Medicine / Medical Degree (M.D.) July 2016 - May 2020; Caguas, Puerto Rico
Third year medical student with interest in pursuing academic research. -Pathophysiology representative (2017-2018)

The University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez / B.Sc. Industrial Biotechnology,
Magna cum laude .
August 2011 - December 2015; Mayaguez, Puerto Rico
The program instructs the use of microorganisms to solve a multitude of problems through genetic modification and industrial applications.
