WORK EXPERIENCE
GENSPACE,
Research Member, May 2019- April 2020
Learned essential lab skills and the foundations of modern
biotechnology. Went on to create genetically modified
microbial dyes that uses upto 431 times less water than
synthetic dyes.
BIBHU MOHAPATRA,
Design Intern, August 2019- November 2019
Assisted the design team and head of production in
patternmaking, designing, creating embroidery layout,
fabric treatment, making tech packs and pattern cutting
for sample making and factory production of Resort 2020
and Spring collection.
LOCAL CELEBRITY CLIENT,
August 2018,
Designed, machine knit and hand embroidered the
garment worn by Mrs. India Earth, Asha Vaghasia for the
sustainable round of her pageant competition.
CRAFTROOTS,
Design Intern, May- August 2017,
Assisted the new design team reshape the entire brand. Draped design for final changes and corrections.
Created motifs for embroidery. Sourced fabric and trims,
created swatches. Coordinated between local craftsmen and designers, and participated in meetings between
founders/ board members and designers.
