Participant and organizing member of the Chiapas Project
? Sold artisan products from cooperatives in Los Angeles, at Oakwood events, and at arts festivals and fairs throughout the city. Dedicated time, creativity and hard work to help more than 200 Mayan women sell their handmade products for a fair price with dignity. Participated in the travel to Chiapas to visit villages and meet directly with representatives of the cooperatives.
Started and organized Initiative to remove plastic water bottles from Oakwood
? Led both small group meetings and school wide presentations on the impact of plastic water bottles on the environment.
