MACY’S: MARKET SEGMENT RESEARCH, GWU Oct 2018 –Dec 2018
• Collaborated with group members to conducted primary research by observing the Macy’s store and their customers’ general tendencies as well as the company’s current and historic retail trends. Lead and organized a focus group consisting of people in both generation Y and generation Z to gather information about the two cohorts and their buying habits
• Recommended based on research (both primary and secondary) that the retail company should implement more digital approaches within their store and online including a mobile tablet for customers to check size availability or fashion trends. We also recommended that the company establish a better presence online to appeal to their underserved segments which include generation Z and generation Y
