Vivian Moreno for City Council — Voter Outreach Specialist 2018—2018
Canvassed around the southern and northern parts of San Diego’s district 8 communities in order to inform voters about District 8 candidate for the California primary election. Areas included San Ysidro, Nestor, Ocean View Hills, Barrio Logan, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights and Grant Hill. Conducted data entry of voter information, assembled yard-signs, and provided office support.

City of San Diego - Public Utilities Department Mentee — 2018
I have been a mentee in the City of San Diego Public Utilities’ South Bay Water Reclamation Plant. Prior to the work facilitated at the plant I passed a comprehensive background check in the Human Resources department of the City of San Diego. My assigned tasks comprised of office assistance, administrative office tasks and supporting the office.

California Young Democrats Latino Caucus — Member 2018 — Present California Democratic Party Progressive Caucus—Member — 2018— Present As an active member of the Progressive Caucus of the California Democratic Party, my colleagues and I share similar issues regarding progressive politics. A key interest of the caucus is universal single payer health care.

Gil-Perez Foundation — President & Founder — 2018 Present
Incorporated a non-profit organization with the California Secretary of State’s office which seeks to provide support and community service to communities who need support. Conducted organization, and planning of events pertaining to community service and community engagement. With our executives and the support of outside groups, and individuals, we have executed the Clean San Ysidro Limpio Initiative (Details below).

An Active member of the South Bay Democratic Club, we have contributed to the engagement of the community in the South Bay. We have endorse from federal, local and state candidates using parliamentary procedure.

Casa Familiar Volunteer — 2017
Volunteer in the Casa Familiar community organization by providing information about current events, programs and social services at the front desk, answering phone calls and organizing flyers and papers. Also, in helping its leaders facilitate the work of the services they provide to the community by filing papers in order and making copies of sensitive confidential information.

Clean San Ysidro Limpio Initiative — Organizer & Planner — 2017— Present
Conducted outreach to several media outlets, draft, & send press releases, and facilitate the overall planning strategy. As part of the grassroots effort in providing a cleaner community while teaming up with residents of the San Ysidro community, we achieved consciousness for a cleaner community. It gained media attention from Telemundo, Radio Latina and Univision.

I Love a Clean San San Diego Community Clean Up — Volunteer — 2017
I helped in the effort of cleaning up the Otay Mesa West community by cleaning up trash around the public roads with the execution of the staff of the Councilmember from the 8th district, David Alvarez, as well as other volunteers from the community.

Canvased around parts of South Bay such as San Ysidro to provide voters information
for candidates such as Councilmember David Alvarez’ campaign for central committee.

Bridge to Employment with the City of San Diego — 2018
The 2018 Winter Mentee Program of the San Diego Human Resources department conducted a first of four comprehensive trainings. This consisted of information for applying to jobs pertaining to the City of San Diego; as well as training on giving quality job interviews.
