� Responsible for teaching drawing and painting skills and techniques to ages 4 to Adult. Supplies we teach with: tempera, acrylic, water color/liquid water color, charcoal, pen and ink, pencil, oil and chalk pastels, crayon, colored pencil, air dry clay.
� Create lesson plans for hour long projects for each class. Lesson plans are individual and age specific based on skill level for ages 4-5, 5-7, 7-9, 9-12, Teens, and Adults.
� Other responsibilities: talking to parents, attending staff meetings, cleaning the studio (take out trash, clean and organize materials), emailing, emailing parents, preparing lesson plans outside of the studio on personal time, writing individual notes about each student, attending Gallery Day (display of all students� work and open on Sundays for 3 hours)
� Actively model and promote the ART Academy values, mission, vision and organizational goals, mentor and train new staff into the ART Academy organizational culture, communicate to prospect students and community about the services ART Academy provides, ensure facilities are in optimal, clean, organized and functional conditions for classes, suggest and implement improvements in all areas of the studio (Organization of the material, material references, use of material, delivery of classes, etc.), communicate directly with parents and students through phone, email, text and in person with an emphasis intact, patience and courtesy, ensure the Academy uses it resources effectively and efficiently at all times, substitute teachers as needed, schedule make-up classes, notify parents and coordinate with instructors, keep track of inventories and request replenishment as needed, record and follow up on customer leads, manage projects suggested by the management team, execute multiple tasks related with the daily activity of the studios, development of lesson plans, attend meetings with management team to align business objectives and business strategies, help as needed with the preparation and production of all publications and notifications, including emails, e-Newsletter, signs and social media, create and organize warm-up sheets.
