OCT Medical Imaging Inc. (OCTMI) is a company that develops a clinical multimodal intravascular imaging system encompassing ultra-high resolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) and IVUS. It seeks to advance detection and diagnosis of heart disease and develops technology that will help reduce mortality. We design catheter models using 3D software and assemble and assess micrometric parts using laser welders, oscilloscopes,
OCT scanners, stereo-microscopes and 3D printers? .
Aside from performing biological/chemical lab procedures such as the creation of agarose gel, I’ve collaborated with other mechanical and R&D engineers in designing assemblies and components of OCT-IVUS imaging probes using Solid Edge, a program exclusive to postgraduates. I have also learned how to operate 3D printers, oscilloscopes, and stereo-microscopes and attempted to assemble micrometric components.
Piano Performance? —
2006 - Present
MTAC State Final Panelist and ranked no. 1 for Young Artist Guild, the highest honor given to CM students in CA, offered semi-professional paid performance opportunities. Recently was indicted as a nominee for the 2020 OC Artist of the Year, and will be featured in the OC Register newspaper. Prizewinner in United States International Piano Competition, Enkor International Music Competition, Elite International Music Competition, Glory International Music Competition.
Chinese Language/Culture —

Irvine Chinese School chose four scholars out of hundreds of students to represent the school at the NCACLS National Chinese History Competition as a team. There were approximately 10 teams across the nation competing against us in a handwritten test round and a speed buzzer round. We placed 3rd out of the total teams. ?I also? won numerous calligraphy, penmanship (?? ??), short story contests, and many more cultural contests.
Violin Performance —?
August 2016 - Present
2nd Principal violinist in Irvine High’s Philharmonic Orchestra and a violinist for all 4 years. 2 year violinist in districtwide IUSD Honor Orchestra, one in freshman year and one in senior year, and will be the 2nd Principal for IUSD’s Honor Orchestra this year.
President’s Volunteer Service Award —?

Recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award for three consecutive years- Gold (1) and Bronze level (2) , respectively.
Irvine High American Cancer Society Club-Freshman Representative (2016-2017) and Sophomore Representative (2017-2018)
? Engaged in fundraisers, hold meetings that inform members of cancer treatments, symptoms and general information.
