PR Intern, Tribeca Film Festival
February 2020 to May 2020

Supported the 2020 festival press team on research projects pertaining to films and artists. Assisted with the creation of festival press releases, updated festival databases, and maintained festival mailing lists.Wrote copy for Tribeca Film Festival fact sheets, which were distributed to members of the press and used internally. I also worked as an administrative assistant to Tribeca’s VP of communications wherein I scheduled her weekly meetings (via Microsoft Outlook), took notes during meetings, performed data entry, and any other tasks that needed to be done throughout the day.

Worked on a new transnational film festival, started by former Columbia film students. I researched, screened, and evaluated potential festival entries. I created and maintained the festival’s Film Freeway page and reached out to producers and distributers. Additionally, I did whatever other daily administrative tasks were needed.

Wrote film blurbs, director/crew bios and program descriptions for SIFF 2018 marketing materials, including their main festival guide. Also assisted programmers with various administrative tasks as needed.

Wrote descriptions for films playing at Northwest Film Forum, an art house theater in Seattle, Washington. These descriptions went on the theater’s website and in program pamphlets. I also worked on the copy for Local Sightings, a local film festival that took place at the forum during October 2016. Finally, I helped build the Local Sightings website.
