Hello, my name is Dillon Menard. I am currently attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, and majoring in fashion design. My vast knowledge of current designers, as well as favorites from the past, and their lines and archives, along with my talent and experience in writing, styling, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills from years of high end sales, make me the perfect candidate to not only learn from working with you, but also being an asset who can contribute to your workspace.
EXPERIENCE
Full time sales, Neiman Marcus: Troy, Michigan 2017-2018
My daily responsibilities at Neiman Marcus included; reaching out to clients with new styles we had in store, new promotions and deals going on in the upcoming months in our store, and getting clients excited and want to come in to shop what Neiman's has to offer. As well as providing the highest rank of customer service not only for my clients, but for foot traffic shopping through our store. I was also expected to clientele and gain new shoppers. Things I did to help acquire new clients and keep them satisfied were ; keep notes on their personal style, size, and events they frequented, Keep a calendar of events they have coming up to send look options ahead of time, and make the experience fun, keeping a perfect balance of shopping with a friend and keeping a very professional relationship. Staying knowledgable about current designers, styles, and trends was also very important and something I prided myself and enjoyed exceeding in. This job took incredible organizational skills as well as social and speaking skills. This position was a great mix of sales and styling, I learned very valuable skills at Neiman Marcus.
Wardrobe creative head, buoy 22 movie productions: detroit, Michigan 2017-2018
I worked wardrobe for two movies for Buoy 22. My responsibilities included; reading the script as well as meeting with the director and some other creative leads to get a general grasp on the look and theme of the movie, clothing and time period or topic research, shopping and sewing pieces for the wardrobe, as well as styling and dressing actors on set and collaborating with the on set make up artists.
