SKILLS & ABILITIES
Leadership � I have a passion for leadership, I am currently studying leadership in college, and working tirelessly to forge myself into the best leader I can. I personally believe that leadership is the single most important skill for any employee to possess from any position in an organization. As a mindset, this results in an individual�s drive towards personal development, the pursuit of excellence, and above all the mindset that he is operating in the service of those he leads.
Hard working � The military is not for the faint of heart, and after serving for 5 years� hard work and perseverance have become almost second nature, this can be further demonstrated by my commitment to both full-time work and full-time studies for the past two years.
Self-Starter � As I have been in college for the past 3 years, through distance education, being a self-starter is a must. I have no deadlines no teacher, or parents to keep accountable to my deadlines. If I don�t motivate myself, I fail, plain and simple.
Attention to detail � My work in the medical profession has developed a keen eye to detail, things move at a fast pace and without this skill things get missed. This skill has carried forward in my biblical studies.

CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER; DEPARTMENT MANAGER WALMART CANADA.

I was responsible for managing the front end of the store and over 30 employees on a daily basis to ensure we meet team performance goals. I was also required to provide additional training to people in the positions under my leadership such as cashiers, customer service associates, store standards, and greeters, and floor associates. I effectively managed store resources and activated key personnel in response to meet the customer needs. I was also required to perform a great deal of other daily tasks including scheduling breaks, cashing out all tills at end of day and ensuring cashiers are effectively managing the till funds by performing register audits as necessary. Many times, I also was required to implement conflict resolution strategies to deescalate both customer grievances, and internal staff conflicts.

I worked doing door to door sales for Canada�s largest Home Security Company. Dealing with cold calls and utilizing neuro-linguistic programming (psychology) to my advantage to help subliminally guide the customer towards the desired outcome; a sale! This experience has given me the self-confidence required to be effective as an evangelist.

My work in the Canadian Forces as a Medical Technician required my care for patients as both a primary medical responder, as well as in the implementation of long term treatment plans as requested by the Medical Officer. Daily tasks included basic patient examination and treatment including the proper documentation of all injuries and treatment received and care for protected documents. Routine maintenance and care for medical supplies and equipment were also a daily norm. In a pastoral sense, this Job helped me to have an empathy to people�s needs, and the ability to ask necessary difficult questions in a tactful and sympathetic way so I am more equipped to provide them the care and support that they require.
