OBJECTIVE
I hope to pursue a career in Speech-Language Pathology, so I am trying to find a job that will give me some experience in the field.

SKILLS
I am great with people and children; I can start conversations with anyone. I work very hard to perfect things and can multi-task very well. I am also able to take on a lot of projects at the same time and put my best work forward to each one.

EXPERIENCE

BRAND SUPERVISOR • VICTORIA’S SECRET • 02/2018 – NOW
I worked full time hours every week. My selling duties were to oversee the sales floor and ensure that all customers were being adequately helped and associates were staying on task. I would have to maintain a certain sales goal as well. My money handling duties were to ensure that all the registers were even every night, create bank deposits, and make change orders. My brand duties as a supervisor were to execute floorsets to ensure the store was staying up to date with the brand guide, communicate with partners to make sure our product lines were staying full, and constantly organizing and re-decorating the store.

DAYCARE EMPLOYEE • FROM ABOVE DAYCARE • 05/2018 – 08/2018
This was a job that taught me a lot of patience. I would watch over 10-15 kids a day from ages 6 months – 8 years old 4 days a week during the summer. I would make lunches, create indoor and outdoor activities, and travel with the children to field trips every other week. I created amazing bonds with these children, and this was one of the main reasons that encouraged me to pursue Speech-Language Pathology. Unrelated to this job, I have also been a nanny for a 13-year-old Autistic boy, so I understand how to deal with those kind of situations, which will most likely be needed in my profession later on.

MANAGER • DAIRY QUEEN • 04/2016 – 08/2017
This was my first leadership position in a job setting. It taught me time management while I was in high school and showed me how to handle authority. I learned money handling skills, how to oversee customers and employees, and how to create a clean, welcoming environment for everyone.

EDUCATION

HIGH SCHOOL DIPOLMA • 05/2017 • PAOLA HIGH SCHOOL
My GPA ended at a 3.8. I graduated in the top 15 of my class and was a member of the school’s National Honors Society. I took courses in Developmental Leadership where we organized community service projects and helped at the homeless shelter. I also took courses in Mentorship where I was a student teacher for a 2nd grade class. I would lead reading groups or math assignments for the children as well as create bulletin boards and fun projects every quarter. I also was awarded the Leadership Scholarship of the class of 2017.

COMMUNICATION SCIENCES AND DISORDERS • 05/2020 • WICHITA STATE UNIVERSITY
My current GPA is also a 3.8 including transfer credits. I am planning on graduating with my bachelor’s degree in May and will also have a minor in Psychology. I have been awarded the College of Health Profession’s Dean’s Honor Roll all 5 semesters so far. I also have the Merit Scholarship for academics through WSU.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE OR LEADERSHIP

For volunteer experience, as mentioned before, I did several community service projects through Developmental Leadership. One being Parents Night Out, where parents from around Paola could drop their kids off at the high school and our club would plan activities for the children. We also donated canned goods and did lots of clean up work at the homeless shelter, as well as create the Community Garden in honor of a teacher that passed away. As an extension to an online class one summer, I volunteered in the kitchen at that homeless shelter where I created meals for the residents and went through their products and threw out the expired items. While in high school, I volunteered through my cheerleading team at the local animal shelter where we walked the dogs, cleaned the cages and lobby, and fed the animals. I have also been a math tutor for elementary kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Wichita. As for leadership, other that having experience in management, I was also a team captain in high school, so I have experience with leading a group as well.
