2004-present: David Herscowitz Piano School (private lessons)
• Individual piano instruction for children and adults at beginning, intermediate and advanced
levels. Lessons include instruction in piano performance, musicianship, music theory and harmony.
• Course Description - Beginning Level: Designed to introduce students to the piano and teach basic
keyboard and theory skills. Course includes technical studies

caregivers concerning early-age musical learning techniques.

therapy program to clients' specific needs.

• Behavior modification, using practices of Applied Behavior Analysis in home school settings with
children ranging from elementary to high school age groups. Children on caseload have diagnoses of
autism and other related developmental and behavioral disorders.

• Taught upper-elementary class (Grades 5-7). Programs focusing on academics – complying with
California State Standards; included communication, social skills, vocational and daily living
skills and community-based involvement. Disabilities in class included autism spectrum
disorder-severe and angel-man syndrome.
• Supervision of four teaching assistants.
• Co-teaching of weekly Music Recreation Club.

• Instructor, Young Adult Transition Program: weekly music appreciation lessons.
• Mentor, Bridgeport Student Store: mentoring students in business management.

disabilities ranging from autism, mental retardation, to paranoid schizophrenia; daily living and
social skills.
