Objective
Bilingual Master Social Worker with experience working with diverse populations, including Military Veterans, elderly and children seeks a position where I can utilize my skills to help those in need and gain knowledge and grow professionally.

Volunteer/Internships
2018: Capital Area Counseling (graduate internship)
Performed psycho social evaluations; Utilizing the therapeutic relationship developed treatment plans, researched and utilized evidence based therapeutic interventions, maintained case documentation; Provided mental health counseling to individual adult clients, adolescents, and families.
2017: Military Volunteer Peer Network (graduate internship)
Case manager for approximately 20 incarcerated veterans located in the Travis County Jail. My duties included helping veterans apply for their benefits, providing information on local and federal social services that they were eligible to receive, provided resources on education and vocational services within their own locale once released. Co facilitated substance abuse therapy groups with LCSW.
2015 - Current: Rural Institute for Veterans Education and Research (volunteer)
Facilitated a group of military wives whose spouses are combat veterans with PTSD. There was a 50% decline in crisis calls following the intervention.
Taught an Introduction to Family Perspectives and Group Dynamics course to combat veterans and their spouses.
Provide peer to peer crisis counseling to the spouses of veterans with TBI/PTSD/ or other mental health issues.
2013: Ride on Center for Kids (undergraduate internship)
Worker as a side walker utilizing equine therapy to help strengthen, stretch and increase function in children with severe mental and physical disabilities.
2013: Sagebrook Health and Rehab Center: Senior Care Facilities Center (undergraduate internship) Worked as an aide to the physical therapist to help elderly individuals to improve and maintain physical function.
