Javier A?lvarez's work is focused on human relationships. His formation as an activist in a very early stage of his career, at the age of fifteen he was already contributing as a photojournalist for media outlets, documenting the student's revolutions in Chile.
Dog lover, Chilean born with a Brazilan soul, his life is in between South and North America, where he develops personal and commercial projects since 2017.
His work has been marked by the duality of the impeccable technique acquired on-set in fashion and advertising campaigns for Latin America and the United States market. This influence on his documentary practice often mixed and required by his clients that want both impressions on his commercial assignments.
Alvarez's projects have been exhibited, published, granted and/or distributed in Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Sweden, Canada, Italy, and the USA.
