I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science focused in Cell and Molecular Biology and minoring in Psychology. My future career goal is to become a pediatric healthcare professional with an interest in specializing in cardiology or neonatal medicine. I am seeking to continue my education through school and various opportunities to further my knowledge of future endeavors. In college, I engaged in my community through volunteer services at The Tampa Murray Child Development Center. I was honored to volunteer where I could impact the amount of quality education provided to children. I possess excellent communications skills and have an extreme passion for learning.

New Visions is a rigorous academic program for high school seniors providing the opportunity to become engaged within the field of medicine. Participants are challenged academically through Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology. Technical skills were practiced in clinical rotations through various practices of medicine and volunteer work. Approximately 400 shadow hours were completed and roughly 30 volunteer hours were completed through medical triaging, Ronald McDonald House Charities, local soup kitchen, and elementary schools.



WORK EXPERIENCE

Cardiac and Vascular Surgical Associate IV (Anesthesia Technician) (January 2019- Current) approximately 45 hours per week
St. Peter’s Hospital, Albany, NY

? Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia.
? Arrive before the cases and prepare the room and equipment for various cardiac procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Mitral, and Aortic Value Replacements, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements, and Laser lead excisions.
? Prepare vascular operating rooms for various procedures such as triple bypass surgery, revascularizations, skin grafts, amputations, and Endovascular aneurysm repairs.
? Assisting licensed anesthesia providers with the administration of drugs, application of IV’s, arterial lines, PA catheterization, and intubation. Also assist in the analysis and monitoring of intraoperative TEE, EEG’s, EKG’s, SpO? of the brain, cardiac output, vigileo statistics, and medication doses.
? Obtaining the capability to assist in Deep Hypothermic circulatory arrest procedures and set up the Belmont Rapid Infuser along with the spinal tap and drain equipment for necessary vascular operations.

Estelí and Casa Blanca, Nicaragua

? Fundraised and gathered medical and dental supplies to bring to Nicaragua
? Held a medical clinic obtaining 3 general physicians, an OBGYN, a dentist and hygienist, and a pharmacist. Worked with people through a language barrier to provide clinical assistance by triage, charla (education for children), pharmacy, consultation, and dentistry.
? Helped over 900 people during the 3-day medical clinic
? Assisted in the building of sanitation systems and placing concrete floors in homes during public health days.
? Dug trenches to provide water supply to an underdeveloped town lacking a clean water system.
