RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

The Shuford Group, Baylor University January 2017 to May 2019
Research Assistant, Advisor Dr. Shuford
Conduct computational analysis of varying metal adducts bonding to oligosaccharides in the gas phase and observed any conformational changes. Investigated aromatic compounds using the Gausssian 09 program and the NICS method. Analyze the aromaticity of a bridging compound in an organic photovoltaic cell. Participate in weekly meetings with the engineering and biology departments to learn about the latest findings in their fields. Present research to the group once a semester. Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with Dr. Shuford to discuss work progress and goals. My work lead to a better understanding of how aromatic compounds facilitate the transfer of electrons from the donor to the acceptor in organic solar cells.
