COVER LETTER______________________________

Hello,

I would like to just tell you a bit about myself so you can get a feel of who I am and a bit of what I have done. I do have many passions in life, of which include animals, the preservation of history in all its forms and the enjoyment of life itself in all that it has to offer. I also have the passion for architecture in all the variety and forms that it comes in. I love the fact that there can be detailing on a large scale as well as the small. I am a personality that can get bored of the mundane and love to seek out variety and the changes in things whether its through techniques or design. Honestly that is one of the beauties of architecture, every project throws out a new challenge or opportunity for learning.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work for Turner Construction through an internship program during school as well as being a part of the design build program at the University of Colorado at Denver. I love knowing all aspects of the project at hand, it allows me to feel as though I am working as part of a team on something so much larger which allows for more care and purpose; as compared to being a hand on an assembly line.

I started off my career by working at Rounds VanDuzer in Washington D.C. where I had great experience working with a wonderful and well experienced team doing canopy and storefront renovations (with many hours of site visits). I then had the opportunity to work at Studio DH in Golden, Co. where my primary projects were creating full CD sets for new/ renovated Starbucks throughout the area. I handled the projects from the initial site dimensions all the way through permit.

I am determined to succeed in this profession and resourceful and quick to learn new techniques/ programs. If you choose to move forward with my application I would love the opportunity, and would be extremely lucky to be able to prove that I am a great addition to any team. In addition I have been a stay at home mother for the last year and I am itching to get back into the field!

Thank you for your time to read my letter and resume. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information.

Sincerely,
Christine English
