Participated in Jumpstart (an Americorps program) at Gads Hill through DePaul University
Received training in child development, intercultural education, and early childhood literacy development
Implement literacy curriculum by prepping core storybooks, implementing vocabulary, and running different activities based off of the target vocabulary
Work on a team of three other members
Held position of child progress coordinator which included the responsibility of tracking and recording children’s literacy proficiency, social emotional development, and oral language skills
Provided classroom assistance including putting children down for naptime, assisting with meals, and overseeing different classroom centers
