Hello, my name is Carl (Trey) Bader and I am very interested in the Sports Writer Position that is available. While the only experience I have in journalism comes from writing for my high school newspaper, I feel that my passion for sports and my desire to work in field that covers sports will make me a great fit. I also take pride in my writing ability, as I won a $1,000 scholarship in high school for an essay. I am trained and very comfortable with Microsoft Word.
I am currently enrolled at Wilmington University and my major is Sports Management. My whole life has been predicated around sports and I have experience playing football, baseball, and ice hockey. This experience in addition to my obsession of watching professional sports gives me great knowledge of the game. I am an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and I served as a social media maven for a website called 4PhillyS------------. I worked with well known names in Philadelphia media such as Geoff Mosher, Chris Stuber, Joe Staszak, and others.
I would love TSJ 101 Sports to give me a chance to put my foot in the sports journalism door so I can show my passion and love for the game to others. TSJ 101 sports covers the NFL, MLB, NHL, WWE, Soccer, NBA, NCAA Basketball, NCAA Football and NASCAR. While I would love to write about the NFL, MLB or NHL, I feel that my diverse knowledge in all sports would allow me to succeed in any one of those. I would love to learn more about the position!
