Responsible for completing tasks such as office work, concert hall rehearsal set up and performance backstage crew under the supervision and direction of the Music Department Secretary.

Responsible for completing tasks such as general construction with power tools, painting, and cleaning under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Theater Tech.

Responsible for completing tasks such as hand and machine sewing, laundry, and costume reconstruction and deconstruction under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Costume Shop Tech.

LEADERSHIP AND EXPERIENCE

-Supervised Study Abroad: Kanazawa, Japan –
April 2018-May 2018
Students spend 4 weeks in Kanazawa, Japan studying Japanese in morning classes and attending cultural activities in the afternoon. We also stay with host families whose primary language is Japanese. This trip was vital for taking thousands of reference photos for my comic which takes place in Japan, and after this trip, specifically in Kanazawa.

GRANTS AND AWARDS

-Johnson Opportunity Grant
Summer Grant Recipient to pursue comic book research and development—June 2018-August 2018
Under the advisement of a Studio Art and an English Professor who together teach comic book study and development, I spent 7 weeks developing my independent comic book Avalon, on the Washington and Lee University Campus. During that time, I also flew out to White River Junction, VT twice to attend two comic book workshops as the Center for Cartoon Studies.
-Class of 1964 Fine Arts Award Recipient – May 22, 2019
This is awarded annually to the junior or senior whom the faculty in the Art and Art History, Music, and Theater and Dance departments identity as having done the most outstanding work in one or more areas in fine arts. I was honored to receive this and won it due to my involvement in all the departments during the entirety of my undergrad as a Studio Art major, Costume Shop and Scene Shop Student Assistant for the Theater and Dance Departments and playing flute in the Wind Ensemble.
-Studio Art Prize Recipient –May 22, 2019
This is awarded to a student who has done outstanding work throughout their time in the art department. I was awarded this particularly for my skills as a draftsman particularly in composition, graphic narrative and illustration.
