? Planning and coordinating a variety of events that take place on public (City of Austin Right of Way) and private property
? Working and communicating with event promoters to obtain city ordinance and policy required documents under strict deadlines for athletic events and festivals that range from 50 to 100,000 participants or crowds
? Creating and keeping an open line of communication between affected City Departments and outside entities such as TxDOT, Capital Metro, State Preservation Board, DPS, Capitol Complex, etc.
? Regularly checking the AMANDA system, SPOON (parking) report, AULCC agendas, SharePoint and with staff to verify that there are no conflicts between permits and/or events
? Coordinating pre-event and post event meetings between event applicants, city staff and the public on behalf of ACE and the Transportation Department
? Reviewing site plans and traffic control plans for compliance with MUTCD requirements and City of Austin policy codes and ordinances
? Invoicing applicants for ordinance required fees; finalizing and issuing Street Event and Parking permits from AMANDA
? Responsible for conducting field checks prior to events to verify possible construction conflicts and traffic impact; field checks during events to inspect closures, traffic control devices, crowd control and overall outcome of the events as well as making sure all is cleared from the right of way after the event has completed
? Making adjustments on-site through coordination with the applicant, APD, AFD and PARD dependent on the event type (keeping safety and mobility in mind at all times)
