My name is Awa Fall, I work at the United Nations for the past 11 years as an Administrative Assistant.
I have a total of 27 years of experience as a babysitter.
My part-time job during junior high school, high school and College was as a babysitter.
I am fluent in 3 languages: French, English and Wolof (I was born in London, England and I am originally from Senegal, West Africa).
My father was a diplomat for the Permanent Mission of Senegal to the United Nations for 47 years and retired this past December 31st, 2018 and my mother is still working, she is the Bilingual Secretary to the Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations.
I attended and is a graduate of Lyceum Kennedy Francais de New York and as an employee at the UN for the past 12 years and growing up from a diplomatic family, you can see that I have been exposed to diverse cultural backgrounds and I love and am skilled at interacting with children from various backgrounds.
I have a twin sister and an older sister and I have two nephews, ages 11 and 15 now and I babysat them throughout their childhood and helped raised them.
I am a very creative person and an artist, as besides working for the UN, I have been acting for 15 years and still continue to act in my spare time.
I currently attend the Manhattan Edge Acting Studio located at the Goddard School with my teacher and mentor Ms. Diaan Ainslee (she is 82 years-old and is a singer, actress and dancer).
In her class once a week for 3 hours a week we do various acting techniques, singing and dancing. These are skills that I can teach and share with the child I will have the honor to babysit.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Art History form Saint Peter's University and a minor in Studio Arts. In my free time, I draw, paint and do sculptures.
I am looking for a part-time babysitting position whenever an opening is available and I am flexible to commute to any area of Manhattan.
My availability is Evenings (starting at 5pm) and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays: open availability)
