• Researched separation techniques to establish the most efficient specifications for the purification of 120 kmol/h of styrene from a 345 kmol/h mixture of benzene–ethylbenzene–styrene–toluene with an outcome of 97% yield of 99 wt% styrene & 98% yield of 95 wt% ethylbenzene
• Critiqued 6 designs, utilizing CHEMCAD software to replicate processes involving distillation, flash, & heat exchangers
