Artist Statement:
Sometimes all we need is a splash of color. In my fluid paintings, I try to capture a color scheme that speaks to the viewer. Weather they are just seeing a beautiful mixture of blue and orange or a warm sunset over the cool blue sea, my work is meant to be interpreted. Being able to hear what people see is one of the best things about my paintings. Heavy brush strokes, clumps of paint, rough pastel markings, and even water all help to represent different aspects. They are inspired by many things, like the nature around me, portraits I have come across from other photographers, and even fashion. Manipulating colors to work together and to create something eye catching is what I aspire to do in my works.
