RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Research experience Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA
• Studied packing fractions of various alkaline earth borate compounds in glassy structures.
• Worked alongside Jacob Robertson to create a Science Outreach Catalyst Kit (SOCK) for the Society of Physics Students outreach program. Completed SOCK is known as “Your Very Own Borate Glass”.
• Partnered with fellow student to produce amorphous tellurium glasses for nuclear magnetic resonance study.
All-Iowa Glass Conference Coe College, Cedar Rapids, IA
• Responsible for event planning for the annual glass conference, hosted at Coe College
• Contacted all participating parties, organized the day’s layout, ensured the conference ran smoothly.
Research Publication Journal of Undergraduate Reports in Physics, Society of Physics Students
• Research done during the 2014-2016 school years was compiled and published into a paper titled “Properties and structure of Glassy TeO2 and Binary Potassium and Boron Tellurites”
