o Coordinate all aspects of phase I and II MDS and AML clinical trials
o Ensure protocol compliance and patient safety in accordance with FDA, ICH and GCP guidelines
o Participate in internal audits
o Assist the PI in assuring amended consent forms are appropriately implemented and signed o Schedule and coordinate participant visits and tests and assure that all appropriate study
procedures are completed and documented
Pre-screening, Consenting, Screening, Registration and Randomization, Active on Treatment, Off Treatment, Long term Follow-up, Off Study
o Collect data as required by the protocol and complete case report forms
o Perform data entry and maintenance of source documentation

Analyzed plaque formation characteristics of HSV clinical isolates to understand the differences in their virulence

o Project: Development of assays to study HIV-1 and MTb co-infection
Determined the effect of co-infection of human macrophages by HIV-1 and MTb on each other’s replication using a cell culture model, and analyzed the gene expression profile of infected, uninfected and co-infected cultures using RNA-seq. Our results indicated that MTb infection induces several anti-viral human genes with a potential to inhibit HIV-1 infection.
