Objective
My objective is to apply my knowledge and expertise in animal care at your facility. I have over 4 years of experience working in a small animal hospital as a veterinary assistant. During my time there, I was responsible for maintaining kennels clean for new and hospitalized patients, rooming and assisting the doctor with patient examinations, administering medications and vaccinations, placing catheters, performing blood draws, and monitoring and setting up patients for anesthetic procedures. I left the King City Veterinary Hospital in 2016 to work for Idexx Laboratories in West Sacramento, CA. At Idexx, I was responsible for setting up, running and releasing test results to clients. I worked in the parasitology department for about a year before transfering to the immunology department where I worked for a little over a year. Working for these two facilities has given me a better understanding of animal health and how important it is to our clients and their patients.
