• Led tutorials on how to conduct line edits, spot and create a proper thesis statement, and basic grammar and punctuation for Chicago Manual of Style.

Taking a Stand: Legacies of Latina Activism in Southern California 800 N State College Blvd, Fullerton, CA 92831

• This exhibit at the Heritage Museum in Santa Ana focuses on the legacies of four Latina women active in politics from the late nineteenth century through the mid twentieth century.
• Worked with a group of fellow history students to create, install, and present an exhibit profiling the history of Latina political and social activism in the community. Created a budget, fact-checked research, designed a presentation system to communicate historical findings to a general audience, and conducted round-table interviews with some of the exhibition subjects.

• The Women, Politics, and Activism Project (WPA) focuses on the political lives and actions of Southern California women from the 1960s to the present.
• Conducted in-depth historical research on two local Orange County female politicians—Whittier City Councilwoman Cathy Warner and Anaheim Councilwoman Shirley McCracken—led formal recorded oral history interviews with both, transcribed their interviews, and submitted the materials to the Center for Oral and Public History at California State University Fullerton.

• Constructed and distributed a school wide survey aimed discovering patterns between student study habits, success (success in terms of grades and how long the have been at Santa Ana College), and their use of campus resources (such as the library, tutoring, and professor office hours) at Santa Ana College.
• Collected the surveys and interpreted the results into usable data. Finding that students were not using campus resources efficiently and there was no correlation between campus resource usage and student success.
• Presented the data to faculty members in order to push them in a direction to help get students to graduate and/or transfer quickly and effectively, and improve the utilization of campus resources for students.
