• Worked and interacted with high school students from majority Latinx communities in annual event dedicated to introducing and encouraging the idea of higher education as a viable option. The Latinx community has one of the highest rates of attrition and one of the lowest for graduation/persistence. This event aims to present college and higher education as a viable option for students who are unsure about their plans after high school.
• Coordinated and participated in student panel that gave visiting students the chance to hear personal stories from current MSU students
• Acted as guide for students on campus tour, all while offering stories and experiences as a way to create a more personal relationship with visiting students
• Introduced students to resources such as the offices of Inclusion, Financial Aid and Admissions, to demonstrate the full range of support available to them on campus.
